I kept reading about the power of our Lord Jesus Christ. About relying on him. About not using our own strength.
After some time, I began to let go of what I had and turned it all over to Jesus. There is something about doing this that is freeing. It’s also about getting a clear mind. One that is not worried or cluttered with all kinds of junk that can stop you from advancing toward your dreams.
When we stop trying, striving, and clawing uphill to get somewhere, we can relax. I know in this world it isn’t often that we can let go and turn ourselves over to anything. But it is all different doing that with our Lord. He wants us to depend on him for everything. We are not to live this life alone.
I didn’t know that at the time, or I wouldn’t have been frustrated. I would not have felt hopeless, stuck, and afraid of what lay ahead.
Jesus promises to give us hope and a future, and not to harm us. And he wants us to have faith in him, in what he says, and in ourselves as we navigate the earth’s terrain with him.
It says do not be afraid about 365 times in the Bible, in various words. We can move along feeling good and have a positive outlook because he’s always looking out for us and taking good care of us.
I think sometimes there is a fear of what our judgment will be at the end of our lives. But if we try to do the right things, repent of the sins we commit, change negative behavior to what’s good, and adopt a healthy perspective, we’ll be okay.
And, if we follow the narrow path Jesus leads us on, we will always choose correctly.
Psalm 20:7 reads, “Some trust in their war chariots and others in their horses, but we trust in the power of the Lord our God.” GNT
Thank you for reading.
I love you,
