Today is like the first time I went to the State Fair: The aroma of cotton candy filled the air, music serenaded the fairgoers, balloons, Ferris wheels, and colorful surroundings were everywhere.
I am at peace, life is lovely, and I am thrilled to be alive.
After a time when I wasn’t sure what would happen for me, I am no longer worried. As I sit watching the Canada geese fly overhead with the backdrop of a sky that is blue like tropical waters, I am relaxed. This is peace at it’s best.
I know it is Jesus who brings this peace to me. In the Bible verse, Isaiah 26:3, it reads, “You, Lord give perfect peace to those who keep their purpose firm and put their trust in you.” The Good News Translation Bible (GNT).
I will always trust Jesus. I have seen him do things for me that I didn’t even petition him for or ask of him. I stay calm and feel safe with Jesus orchestrating my life–with him guiding me every step of the way.
What I am sensing and feeling today has me ready to organize my painting supplies, and to take my music amplifier outside in the sun and sing like no one is watching. I thank the Lord, for bringing me to this place of tranquility, and I praise him.
Thank you for reading.
I love you,
Lisa / Soon to be Lisa DeWitt
